Post Leaving Certificate Courses

The PLC or Further Education Programme (PLC/FE) is full time and provides appropriate vocational training to allow people to bridge the gap between school and work.

The Programmes are designed to assist people to:

• Enhance their prospects of securing lasting, full-time employment

or

• Progress to other studies.

PLC courses run by St Brendan's College are open to

• Young people who have completed senior cycle education, and require further vocational education and training to boost their prospects of employment or allow them advance to other studies,

and

• Adults returning to education who may not have completed the senior cycle but are deemed by the provider to have the necessary competencies to undertake the Programme

Certification

Certification at Level 5 is available as set out by the National Qualifications Framework and is available through the awarding body FETAC the Further Education and Training Awards Council.
